The exploration of intimate messiness in a whimsical wilderness is at the heart of my practice. My background as a beekeeper is often woven into my work, as I use imagery of flora and fauna, often integrating found insects and dried foliage. These little creatures inspire me to create pieces that swarm with themes of connection, solitude, and sorcery. There is an innate magic through the flow of colonies, whether it is with their meditative buzz or their rhythmic lives. My paper collections invite viewers to look deeper within the maximalist compositions of my work and see the thread of what binds us all into one working organism.
